While it is more expensive than the DSL15H, it saves you the cost of the speaker cab (often a $200ish expense) and piles on a lot more features that make the 40C more useful in a wider-range of scenarios. It's not a knock against the 15H, but the 40C definitely gives you more variance in your EQ to work with.
